The NGP team have recently received some information regarding near misses on the shared use paths around Great Park.
It has been brought to our attention there have been a number of incidents where dogs have been walked off their leads, allowing them to chase cyclists and behave in a threatening manner.
It is appreciated these paths are shared use routes, however, we would like to remind dog walkers to take consideration of other users to avoid any potential incidents. The Highway Code does states dogs should be walked on short leads when walking on a pavement, road or path shared with cyclists.
Please do all be considerate of other shared path users so we can ensure Great Park continues to be a wonderful and safe place for all.
