The Newcastle Great Park summer fayre is back! Join in on Sunday 30th July for a family beach party!
As part of the event, there will be some cycle related activities which you can pre-book:
Dr Bike
Residents of Newcastle Great Park can receive free bicycle safety checks and servicing. Our friends from Halfords will be set up in the Community Centre car park for free basic bike checks and advice on general maintenance.
E-Bike Trials
Would you like to try out an e-bike and find out what all the fuss is about?! Halfords will be bringing along some e-bikes to try out. You can take the bikes on a short, looped route which starts and ends at the Community Centre.
If you’d like to take part, please register your interest on the link below and bring your helmet on the day. You will also need to sign a waiver before setting off.
Forget Le Tour de France…. Tour de Great Park is coming!
Newcastle Cycling Campaign will be leading organised cycle rides around NGP. Starting and finishing at the Community Centre, the five-mile route has been designed to showcase the great range of dedicated cycle routes available around NGP.
Apart from a short on-road section along Netherwitton Way, the route utilises segregated cycle paths and quiet lanes with no through traffic. Cyclists over the age of 8 can join (supervised by a parent or guardian).
