Phase 1: Road Closures
To allow for the safe lowering of three spans of the 20kV volt overhead conductors, there will be a compulsory carriageway closure around Junction 4 of the Spine Road on Friday 6th September 2024 between 1000-1400.
This will temporarily limit all access to Cell A (Primrose Lane & Havannah First School) as well traffic between Junctions 4 & 5 on the Spine Road itself. Signed diversion routes will be put in place by the appointed Traffic Management company as shown on the map below (click for a larger view):

Phase 2: Footpath/Bridleway Closures
Aligned with Phase 1, to allow for the safe dismantling of these overhead lines and removal of poles/ironwork, plus commission new 20kW underground cables, the section of footpath/bridleway from Ringlet Drive-Brunton Lane-Spine Road J4-Havannah Nature Reserve needs to be temporarily closed. This access restriction is required to create a safe working zone with no public allowed during this time.
This particular closure will be in place for 12 days between Monday 2nd – Friday 13th September 2024, with various diversionary routes in place along Lynemouth Way, Wagonway Drive and the adjacent footpath leading to Havannah Nature Reserve (see maps below).
