Road Upgrade Works on Roseden Way

We would like to inform you that road improvement works will shortly commence on Roseden Way, as part of the ongoing infrastructure upgrades within the Newcastle Great Park development.

These works are being carried out in accordance with existing agreements with Newcastle City Council and form a key part of the adoption process for the road network in the area. The upgrades are designed to bring Roseden Way up to the standards required for formal adoption, ensuring long-term maintenance can be handed over to the Local Authority

Site setup is scheduled to begin during the week commencing 13 October 2025, and will include a small compound for materials and welfare facilities. The main works are due to start week commencing 20 October 2025, with completion expected by January 2026.

Initially, the works will involve short sections of lane narrowing to allow for kerb remedials and the raising of ironwork. These activities will be carefully managed to minimise disruption to traffic flow and access.

Once the dates for tarmac resurfacing are confirmed, manned traffic management will be in place to keep the road open, residents whose properties front onto Roseden Way will be notified via letter drop to ensure they have adequate notice and can make any necessary arrangements.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this period and will make every effort to minimise inconvenience. Further updates will be provided as the works progress.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the site management team.
