At such a difficult and challenging time it has been inspiring to see how everyone within the community has come together to help the vulnerable and those in need. Clap for Carers on a Thursday evening has become a regular event, and it is great to see so many people supporting those on the frontline.
As we approach the end of week 7 of the ‘lockdown’ we thought it was timely to provide an update on matters across the Park.
The management company continues to operate on a ‘remote basis’ with staff working from home. The website emails are being monitored but please do bear with us as we continue to adjust to the new ways of working.
You will have noticed that grass cutting and other general maintenance activities that can be carried out whilst adhering to the government guidelines continue to be carried out across the Park. The frequency of bin emptying has been increased to twice a week which has been largely driven by an increase in the use of the strategic routes for exercising and a large majority of people now working from home as well as the schools being closed. Play areas remain closed and this will be the case until the government guidance changes and it is deemed safe to open them. We are monitoring the guidance very closely as it continues to change on an almost daily basis and will provide updates accordingly.
End of year accounts are being prepared for the 2019 actual rent and service charges, however, given the current situation invoices and statements will not be posted out until the end of July at the very earliest. If residents have any queries or would like any further information on the 2o19 charges please don’t hesitate to contact us.
As of this week you will start to see more activity across the various construction sites across the Park. Both Taylor Wimpey and Persimmon now have strict processes in place to ensure any activities are carried out safely and within the government guidelines as the sites begin to remobilise. For further information on this please refer to the developers respective website.
You will also see construction works recommencing on the Spine Road contract in the next two weeks. Again, strict procedures and guidance are in place to ensure all works are carried out safely and without compromise. Further updates on the Town Centre alongside a couple of announcements will be provided early next week.
Thank you all for your cooperation and patience throughout this testing time. Please stay safe and take care.
