The Parks’ environment is rich and diverse, something that the consortium, residents and occupiers are proud of.
The landscape that is now in place has totally transformed arable farmland into a diverse mosaic of woodland, meadowland and network of drainage systems with hills, vales and streams. This ecosystem delivers wide open spaces with cycleways and pathways linking all the development cells and the wider environment of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
As part of our ongoing work we are continually monitoring the biodiversity of the park but to date little has been done to promote this. Working with the City Council Ranger Service we really hope to be delivering some proactive work with local schools and community in the very near future. So watch this Space!!
Similarly you will have seen the details of 2015 photographic competition and we look forward to reviewing entries.
We really want to continue to pro-actively manage the totally transformed environment on the Park and more information about events and ways you can become involved will become available over the weeks and months.
